HISTORY OF TRADE SHOWS
It’s a fundamental principle of business survival that has prevailed throughout history and around the globe.
Historically, trade shows likely started with people simply displaying their wares in public places.
They took time to talk individually with potential buyers about what they have to offer.
Then they negotiated a purchase price (or bartered goods or services) until a mutual agreement was met.
At one time, exhibiting was likely one of the only ways to “market” your product. And perhaps served as a necessary survival tactic to provide for families.
According to Rober B. Konikow in his book, Exhibit Design, the exhibit industry can trace roots to medieval European fairs and the ancient bazaars of the Middle East.
Today, exhibiting is a growing industry and one that is constantly changing. Ever since the early exchange of goods, people of all types have been looking for a better way to market their products.

From the interview conducted with Mr. Peter of Elemax group, he said “Trade fair is an enquiring center where you make enquires and show case / exhibit your product for future sales, but it is now a place where you buy and sell.

BENEFITS OF TRADE SHOW
There are many benefits of trade show displays a business should consider when attending any type of public event. These benefits include being easy to carry around, being low cost, interactive, graphics, and so much more.
A business needs to be able to advertise at events. Many companies send an employee from location to location without an advertising method or approach. This can make the endeavors a waste of time. An exhibit is the best approach when a company has a traveling salesman.
Trades show display is extremely portable. There are lightweight exhibits as low as less than ten pounds and they can weigh up to 100 pounds. Most of the larger displays are on wheels and everything stores inside of the podium so it is easy to haul around. There is no reason to worry about excess pieces or parts to lug around or get lost. Carrying around an exhibit is the best way to prepare for an event.
Trade show displays are an extremely affordable method of advertising at all events. They are very low cost and provide an excellent solution to showing the customers and attendees about a business’s products and services offered to the community. This is cheaper than airtime on a television or radio station and it is the best approach. A low cost approach is the best way to advertise when traveling to different events.
Exhibits are also interactive. They allow the attendees to walk through and check out the products and services. When the display is brilliant and provides enough graphics it will immediately attract people as they walk in the door they will immediately want to see what the business is all about. An interactive exhibit is perfect when the audience is younger too. This allows for presentations and videos to be aired for the customers and total interaction.
Graphics and photos are often needed on a trade show display. The great thing about these exhibits it that photos and graphics can e pinned on them. In most cases they are attached by the use of Velcro. This allows for a business to change the design of the exhibit based on the audience they are trying to capture. Photos can be printed on the fabric itself if the use of Velcro is not a favored method. It is the products offered, unless the products will be on shelving of the exhibit
There are many benefits to making use of trade show displays for any business. A small, medium, or a large business will benefit by attracting the attention of all of the people who walk in the door instantly. They allow you to provide an interactive approach to the audience for younger crowds who often want to see videos, walk through, and more. It is also an excellent way to provide an affordable way to advertise. They are portable so they are easy to take on the go on any trip and they are also super simple to put together.
